The library will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. The library will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday. ■The Chichester Library will have a story hour on Nov. No vehicle shall be parked in the town’s right of way from the start of the precipitation until 48 hours after the storm ends. Salt will be used sparingly and dirt roads will be sanded as long as there is ice under the sand, instant stops with vehicles are impossible. There is little our highway department can do during a winter freezing rainstorm. The policy states that salt and sand is less effective if applied before the rain stops. Each plow route is 15 miles long and takes 3 to 4 hours to cover. After roads are clear, sanding and salting will begin. ■Chichester Winter Maintenance Policy states that Chichester begins plowing when the snow has accumulated 2 to 3 inches. 24 through 26 and will return to classes on Nov. ■Chichester Central School and Pembroke Academy will be having Thanksgiving recess on Nov.
